Lee Health has become the first in Florida to introduce an AI-powered birth care center. It’s a remote fetal monitoring command hub that gives moms and babies across our Gulf Coast access to some of the most advanced care in the country.

Jen Campbell, director of obstetrical services at Lee Health, explained that the system closely watches vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse for both mothers and their babies

Campbell said, “So mom comes in, she gets put on the fetal monitor and gets her vitals taken. It pops up on our screen in our central command center.”

The remote fetal monitoring system begins working immediately upon a mother’s check-in, with AI using built-in cues to alert nurses faster than ever before when something is amiss.
