Understanding Fetal and Placental Circulation
Welcome
L&D nurses guide and support patients through every phase of labor, playing a central role in every birth. Foundations in Perinatal Care: From Basics to Best Practice is a new multi‑episode webinar series designed to reinforce essential skills, deepen confidence, and revisit the core concepts behind modern perinatal practice.
The series opens with a focus on placental and fetal circulation, introducing the physiology that influences fetal oxygenation and intrapartum tolerance. These concepts provide important context for understanding fetal heart rate patterns, uterine activity, and clinical response throughout labor. We hope you enjoy the session!
