Chief Financial Officer

Edward Thompson serves as Chief Financial Officer of PeriGen, where he leads the company’s financial strategy and operational infrastructure to support innovation and sustainable growth. As a member of the executive leadership team and Board of Directors, Ed oversees Finance, Legal, and Human Resources, ensuring the company operates with financial strength, operational efficiency, and alignment between financial strategy and customer value. 

Ed brings extensive experience supporting high-growth medical device and biotechnology organizations.  Prior to joining PeriGen, Ed served as Controller and Interim CFO at Asklepios Biopharmaceutical, during a period of significant growth and successful private equity fundraising. Earlier in his career, he served as Corporate Controller at TearScience, guiding financial operations through its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson. 

Ed began his career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.
