Brian Bishop

Chief Operating Officer

Brian Bishop serves as Chief Operating Officer at PeriGen, where he leads research and development, client technical services, implementation services, and quality and regulatory functions. With more than a decade of leadership at PeriGen, Brian has played a central role in scaling the business and advancing innovative clinical technologies that improve maternal and fetal care. 

Previously, Brian led the NaviCare WatchChild electronic fetal monitoring business for HillRom, following several years as an entrepreneur helping to launch a smart-home technology company in Louisiana. Earlier in his career, he held roles as a software developer, quality manager, and product director across multiple start-up environments — experience that continues to shape his hands-on, cross-functional leadership approach.  

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from North Carolina State University. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, time in the mountains, and supporting his growing family.
