New Evidence: AI + Education Drives Meaningful Improvements in Perinatal Care
Improving outcomes in perinatal care takes more than deploying new technology — it requires ensuring that clinicians are equipped to use that technology effectively.
A newly published study in MCN: The American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing explored exactly that: how combining PeriGen’s AI-powered perinatal software with focused education impacts clinical practice. The study specifically examined nurses’ management of uterine tachysystole, a common and potentially serious risk during labor.
The findings were clear. When AI was paired with targeted education, management of tachysystole improved significantly — from 34.7% to 61.2% — representing a 76% increase in compliance.
These findings reinforce what we consistently see across our partner organizations:
- AI strengthens clinical decision-making
- Education fosters a shared mental model around the effective use of technology
- Together, they help protect mothers and babies
We are proud to see these outcomes reflected in the work of our partners and extend our congratulations to Lee Health on this important publication.
